SuitUP™ Bollocks

SUITUP™ BOLLOCKS

2–10 Players

Match the card. Bluff when you need to. And if you think someone’s full of it…

BOLLOCKS!

OBJECTIVE

Be the first player to get rid of all your cards.

SET UP

Shuffle the deck and deal:

  • 2–4 players: 12 cards each
  • 5–6 players: 11 cards each
  • 7–8 players: 10 cards each
  • 9–10 players: 9 cards each

Place the remaining cards face down to form the draw pile.

Choose a player to go first.

HOW TO PLAY

On your turn, place one card face down in the centre and announce the number and suit of the card you claim to be playing.

Your declared card must match the previous declared card by either:

  • Number, or
  • Suit

Example

If the previous player declared:

“Seven of Crowns”

you must claim to play either:

  • Any Seven, or
  • Any Crown

You might say:

“Seven of Hearts”

or

“Three of Crowns.”

Your card stays face down, so nobody knows whether you’re telling the truth.

THE VOTE

After every card is played, all other players vote at the same time:

👍 Thumbs Up — you believe the player.

👎 Thumbs DownBOLLOCKS! You don’t believe them.

IF EVERYONE VOTES THUMBS UP

The card stays face down.

Play continues and the declared card becomes the new card the next player must match.

IF ANYONE CALLS BOLLOCKS

If one or more players vote Thumbs Down, the card is turned over.

If the player was telling the truth

If the revealed card is exactly the number and suit they declared:

  • Every player who voted Thumbs Down draws 2 cards.
  • Players who voted Thumbs Up draw nothing.
  • The player who laid the card receives no penalty.

If the player was bluffing

If the revealed card does not match what they declared:

  • The player who laid the card draws 2 cards.
  • Every player who voted Thumbs Up draws 1 card.
  • Players who correctly voted Thumbs Down draw nothing.

CAN’T MATCH THE CARD?

If you don’t have the required number or suit, you have two choices:

Bluff

Lay any card face down and claim it matches.

Take your chances and hope everyone believes you.

Skip

You may choose to skip your turn.

But by doing so, you’ve just told everyone at the table that you don’t have the current number or suit.

They may remember that

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A CHALLENGE?

Whether the card was real or a bluff, the declared card remains the active card.

The next player must match that declared number or suit.

YOUR LAST CARD

Your final card is played exactly like any other card.

Place it face down, declare the number and suit, and wait for the vote.

If nobody calls BOLLOCKS, you win.

If someone calls BOLLOCKS and your card was real, you still win once the penalties are taken.

If you were bluffing, draw your penalty cards and keep playing.

WINNING

The first player to successfully get rid of all their cards wins.

Match it. Bluff it. Sell it.

And when you don’t believe a word of it…

BOLLOCKS!
